Kantan Restaurant pantai tengah

Pantai Tengah’s restaurants will keep you as busy as a beaver, and just as hungry. Like Pantai Cenang, it boasts more than a few good restaurants.

The area may not be as developed as Pantai Cenang – sidewalks are a luxury and the roadside is frequently muddy – but the beach is the longest in Langkawi. There are frequent expanses of grassy plots of land and abandoned projects are a dime a dozen here but Pantai Tengah also has its charms – the area is quiet and shaded by lots of trees so walking along the sidewalks is not too much of a chore.
This traditional Malay-style restaurant looks like a super-sized kampung house; the menu is an upscale and less spicy execution of traditional Malay dishes such as rendang and creamy-coconut curry fish. The courtyard boasts a beautifully decorated pond and fountain with lush greenery and a scattering of earthen pots all over the place. Try the Langkawi Malay-style juicy tenderloin beef and potato wedges stir-fried with dark soy sauce and spices and udang kebab serai – grilled prawns skewered on lemon grass stems.
